Babinda Transfer Station will be closed on Wednesday 7 October while green waste is processed on site, Cairns Regional Council says.
Residents who need to dispose of general waste during the closure can use the temporary bin at Babinda Works Depot on Peever Road. The council expects the transfer station to reopen at 8.30am on Thursday 8 October.
The temporary bin is for general waste; the council notice does not say that green waste can be taken to the depot. Residents planning a trip should check the latest council notice in case arrangements change.
