Punjab Police are investigating after unidentified attackers opened fire at the family residence of Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu in Barnala district late on Saturday night. Nobody was injured.

Police said three masked men arrived on a motorcycle at the property in Pharwahi village. Two allegedly fired towards the main gate while the rider appeared to record the incident on a mobile phone.

Investigators said six rounds were fired and bullets struck the gate. Gulab Sidhu was not at the residence at the time, although members of his family were inside.

The incident was captured by CCTV cameras. Police are examining footage from the property and nearby area as they work to identify and trace the attackers.

No motive had been publicly confirmed in the initial police account. Claims circulating on social media should therefore be treated cautiously until investigators release verified findings.
