The program supports projects designed to create vibrant arts and cultural experiences while strengthening the local creative sector. Eligible applicants include professional and emerging artists, arts and cultural workers, incorporated arts organisations, project coordinators and artist-run groups.
Cairns Regional Council said applications will be assessed by an independent panel made up of creative-industry representatives. Projects must demonstrate professional excellence and contribute to the region’s cultural and artistic life.
The new round follows earlier support for initiatives including the North Queensland Breaking Bootcamp 2025, which received a $6,700 grant to connect young people with experienced dance instructors from Australia and Japan.
Applications are open now and close at midnight on Friday 9 October 2026. RADF is delivered through a partnership between the Queensland Government, via Arts Queensland, and Cairns Regional Council.
