Australia has defeated Poland 3-1 in Brisbane to advance to the 2027 Davis Cup qualifying round.

Alex de Minaur clinched the tie with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Kamil Majchrzak in the reverse singles on Sunday. The result followed Australia's doubles win earlier in the day.

Rinky Hijikata and Max Purcell beat Jan Zielinski and Karol Drzewiecki 7-6 (7-3), 6-3, giving Australia a 2-1 lead before de Minaur returned to the court.

Australia will need to win its next qualifying tie to reach the Davis Cup Finals in Italy in November 2027.
