The new Route 100 will connect the airport with Cairns Hospital, Cairns Private Hospital, the city bus station and the Lagoon precinct via Lake Street. The airport stop will sit between the domestic and international terminals.
The Queensland Government says the service will run every 30 minutes and each trip will cost 50 cents under the state fare policy. It says the route will not operate on Good Friday or Christmas Day. Travellers should check Translink for the final timetable closer to the launch date.
